After First Bassoon Lesson
September 20, 2003| Bassoon lessons are in the St. Anthony Park (close to Fifield Place - where we lived - and the UMN St. Paul Campus and Luther Seminary) which means I get to pick Kyle up at college and spend some time with him. St. Anthony Park is a beautiful area and it was a wonderful fall day.... I spent time in the library where Ann, Carolyn, and Betty used to check out books and at the specialty Scandinavian Bakery and Cafe just across the street. We ended up with a flat tire and had to get that fixed (Kyle always calms me down with his usual, "Grandpa, what does it really matter?" - he keeps me under control). Kyle then tried out the "new fingerings" learned in the lesson before "back to RF". |
